Plays up to 20 minutes of music or rainforest sounds for baby.
I bought this for my VERY fussy 5 week old. He is an ultimate velcro baby who never wants to be down and I wanted something to keep his attention so I could get a few necessities done.
1.
This gym is a great size for a little one, not taking too much room but will be large enough that he’ll play with it until he can crawl at least. I sometimes put it in the pack n play (always supervised) just to keep my little guy up away from our dog while he is playing. The music is not too tinny or annoying and there are two volume levels. There are also rainforest sounds if you are looking for a more soothing experience for your little one.
2.
When I turn on the sound there are lights on the canopy that my son always smiles at and has now started to coo at. He does tend to get overstimulated if I leave the music and lights on for more than about five minutes but thankfully the colors and hanging toys keep his attention without the music too.
3.
There are many places to take linking toys so you can add your own toys and move toys around to keep it fresh and entertaining. The mat itself has lots of colors and some black & white animals that keep little ones busy for tummy time.
4.
My son spends fifteen to twenty minutes with this mat twice a day for tummy and play time and I pop him on it when I need a few minutes to accomplish something. My little guy is now 11 weeks old and we are still using this every day. He really loves the lights and music now and is reaching out to touch the toys. He especially loves the parrot that has a spinner on it, so when he bats at it he gets the gratification of it spinning for him. We also use the mirror for tummy time and he enjoys smiling at himself.

This is a nice addition to the previous software we had to use with the Cool School Computer. My 3 1/2 year old son loves playing on the computer and he is learning something as well. I only have 3 software games for my son’s cool school but I’d rather have him on the computer anyday instead of watching television! I love this toy and would recommend it to any parent! Where we have the computer located helps me make dinner while he is playing. Then I can help him out or look at some of the artwork he has done without having to leave the kitchen. One of my absolute favorites toys for him!

I got him the computer cool school for Christmas and this is the second class room download for the computer cool school key board. I only had to install the software once and take the CD out. After that it is good. My son loves playing his computer cool school and he loves watching sponge bob so it is a great learning program for him. He is 3 years old and he learned very quickly. It is teaching him to sit down and concentrate on something which is exactly what I want him to learn in preparation for school [...]. Very affordable considering the prices of others like it. Plus, it is a completely separate hook up to the computer so you don’t have to worry about the kids pounding, or even touching, the computer. Can’t say enough. It is awesome.

I’m not sure how to compare the MSRP to the actual price that stores are selling it for. I bought mine directly from FP for $16.00. I’m not sure that I would spring $30 plus dollars for it.

6 Things I Love about the Fisher Price: Nature’s Touch Baby Papasan Cradle Swing!
Fisher Price Nature’s Touch Baby Papasan Cradle Swing
Baby Papasan Cradle Swing has a whole new look and some great updates to the original. Now there’s an attached teether toy and pillow embroidery. The nest-like seat comfortably cradles babies in soft multi-textured materials while rocking in a traditional front/back motion or side-to-side cradle motion. An overhead soothing motorized mobile incorporates three characters, (a bird, a butterfly, and a dragonfly) — each “flies” with distinct gentle motion in between leaves and around a mirrored globe. A removable tray with bead bars and empty tray space provide plenty of room for Baby’s entertainment. Features: six speeds, 8 soothing songs, gentle nature sounds, infant head support insert, plus two-position seat recline. Folds easily for storage.Requires 4 “D” batteries, not included. Measures 13.5″L x 38″W x 28″H. Holds up to 25 pounds.
* Cradles baby with a side-to-side rocking motion
* Swings baby with a head-to-toe swinging motion
* Rich fabrics and textures stimulate baby’s tactile sense
* 8 soothing songs along with soothing nature sounds
* Includes infant head support insert, 2 position seat recline and folds for storage
I had originally bought the Graco 6-speed swing, but unfortunately, the motor burned out on it after only two months of use. But that’s fine, because it gave me an excuse to go buy the Baby Papasan Cradle Swing!
Things I love about this swing are:
1) The motor is EXTREMELY quiet. As mentioned previously, I had the Graco 6-speed swing, and the “clunk click clunk click” noise it made was unnerving. The Papasan Swing motor is so quiet that I can barely hear that it’s even on!
2) The mobile is soooo cute! Not only does the whole thing rotate, but each individual leaf and bird/bug actually moves, too! The leaves flap up and down, and the bird/bugs rotate and spin, as if they are actually flying! My baby coos at the mobile, and I think she likes the shiny mirror on the underside of the mobile.
3) The seat seems like it is very comfortable for my baby. I call it the “Celeste Nest” because it looks so comfy and soft! It is nice and big and has plenty of room for her to spread out in it when she falls asleep. It even has a nice pillow so her head doesn’t roll around.
4) It has a completely removable toy tray. This is nice, because my baby sometimes gets “mad” at the toy tray because she’s overstimulated and just wants to sleep. I can take it out of her way so she can get comfy to take a nice long snooze.
5) Volume control dial for the music–need I say anything more?!?
6) And, of course, the option to either have your baby swing straight ahead or from side to side (cradle) is very nice! The cradle swinging option really soothes my baby nicely.
My minor gripes about the swing are:
1) The mobile and music shut off automatically after seven minutes. So every seven minutes, I have to get up and press the reset button to start it going again. Whatever happened to the PARENTS getting to decide when to turn the music and mobile off?
2) The big puffy headrest is nice, but it’s not removeable. It is a little too puffy and restraining, and it bends my baby’s ears forward. She also has a hard time turning her head, because it is so snug to her face. This frustrates her and she starts crying, because my baby loves to be able to look around and see what’s going on.
3) The seat only has two positions–reclined or upright. When I put the seat in the one and only upright position, it still doesn’t sit my baby up very much.
4) The toys on the toy tray are kind of lame–there are two plastic arched bars that each have two plastic toys on them (brightly colored flowers and bees). My baby likes this just ok, since they don’t rattle or make noise, she loses interest in them fast. Then there is the turtle rattle toy in the center. It is attached by a strap that is attached to the underside of the toy tray. My baby inevitably drops this toy in her lap over and over, each time requiring me to dig it out of her lap and position it back in its spot on the tray. I wish the rattle toy was mounted onto the top of the toy tray so she could bat at it without dropping it. Hey, at least this swing comes with toys on the toy tray, unlike the Graco 6-speed model!
All in all, this is a really great swing. The color scheme is neutral and should match any decor. Yes, the swing is pretty expensive, but I think for the quality of the swing, it is worth it.

The Fisher Price Deluxe Jumperoo Review!
Fisher-Price Rainforest Jumperoo
The Rainforest Jumperoo is designed to help encourage healthy development. Moving, spinning, and jumping in a baby jumper enhances large motor skills. Secondly, the variety of textures integrated into the rainforest toys provide tactile stimulation, while the bright colors and fun music engage your child’s visual and auditory senses. This educational system also enhances learning through discovery; baby’s actions make things happen, helping him to understand cause and effect. Finally, reaching and grasping onto the baby jumper’s toys fosters eye-hand coordination.
Parents will appreciate the quick take-down and portability of the Rainforest Jumperoo–the frame pivots to a nested position so it can be tucked away when not in use, and it simply folds so you can carry it from room to room. And no doorway is required to use this toy, making it a breeze to set it up anywhere.
The Rainforest Jumperoo includes a motion sensor that encourages kids by rewarding them with lights and sounds when they jump, has a weight capacity of 25 pounds and maximum height 32 inches, and requires three “AA” batteries (not included). It also measures 32.0 x 43.125 x 37 inches (WxHxD).
* Tons of safe jumping fun, but now there are toys all around-and overhead with a spinning seat that helps baby explore them all
* Features a bobbing elephant, swinging monkey, spinning lizard and more that baby will just “go wild” for
* Baby spins drum to activate lights and music
* The baby jumper’s soft spring covers keep little fingers safe
* Three-position height adjustment ensures a custom fit for your child
We were originally going to get our 8 month old a jumper that you hang from the door. After reading some reviews about injuries and mishaps from jumping into the door frames, we firmly decided against that and researched floor models.
We were between this Jumperoo and another one that has 4 support poles as the base. The square Jumperoo didn’t have nearly as many toys for her to discover and it seemed to take up much more space. We decided on this Jumperoo because it took up less room and had more toys for only slightly more money. The investment was worth it for just the first 10 minutes of fun!
When we first put her in, she wasn’t quite sure what to make of it and just looked around at the toys grabbing for them. After she realized (in the first 2 minutes) that she could jump, she did with great joy. Her face was all smiles and watching her kick her feet out while jumping had us all rolling on the floor hysterically.
The toys she likes best are the ones that spin and she reaches for the parrot and frog that hang. The tiger that comes up when you push on the button seems pretty useless, as does the color wheel.
The whole thing took us about 10 minutes to put together and another few minutes to wash the toys. Remember not the submerge the electronic one and to put 3 AA batteries in it. The box does not include the batteries and you’ll need a screwdriver to remove the battery cover. Also, the large spinning ball has a rainbow sticker along the sides that if you don’t dry right away, well, they’ll start to wrinkle. The Jumperoo does fold up for easier carrying/stowing but it’s not a smooth transition. I don’t see us doing it that often however.
As I mentioned, the entertainment that the adults got was well worth the cost initially. And now, our baby girl has a great time bouncing on it while strengthening her legs. She doesn’t seem to like jumping without an audience but maybe she will when she gets a little older. Don’t wait to get this, you won’t regret it!!

The 2 Best Fisher Price High Chairs on the Market!
Review by Baby Gizmo
Fisher Price Space Saver High Chair
The Space-Saver High Chair is designed to provide a full-size feeding experience for a small-size home. It has all of the features of a full-size high chair without taking up the space. Simply strap it to any standard kitchen or dining room chair and adjust it to meet your baby’s needs. It has 3 height adjustments, a 3-position recline, plus a full-size one-hand removable dishwasher-safe tray. The full-size pad is machine washable and has a 3-point restraint for additional security. When your baby is older, simply remove the pad and back to make the chair a toddler booster seat. This chair’s efficient size makes it easy to store when not in use.
* Space saving high chair easily straps to dining room or kitchen chairs
* Pad and back can be removed to create toddler booster seat
* Full-size pad is machine washable and has 3-point restraint for safety
* Recommended for ages 6 months to 3 years
* Age Range 6 Months to 3 Years
The chair was exactly what we were looking for. Our dining area is fairly small so using our existing dining chair does save space. The booster chair feels secure as it secures both behind and under the dining chair with buckle straps. It also has non-skid rubber feet on the bottom of all four corners. The 3-point to 5-point harness is helpful for keeping the baby in place. We were using one of those cheapy plastic block booster chairs and our 7-month old kept slouching underneath the tray. The contoured seat in the Space Saver High Chair helps to prevent that.
The adjustable height was useful for raising the tray to just above our table level so we could slide the whole chair underneath when not in use. I’m not sure when we’d recline the seat, but I guess it’s a nice option to have.
The chair reminds me of a car seat, and as such, keeps our baby in place while feeding. The one-handed release of the tray and the highly adjustable settings are convenient options. I don’t think I could ask for anything more out of a booster chair. Perhaps a built-in iPod adapter with speakers built into the tray or something. Just kidding
The model I purchased is the J5933, but there is another model, L1907. According to a couple of customers who researched them, the differences are basically color. Kudos to them for researching them and clearing that up.

After 7 kids in a sturdy Perego high chair (which I replaced the seat pad once & found a whole chair replacement another time on ebay), I was disapointed it would need to be replaced again for my 8th child. Since they no longer make the pads and I was not happy with the new style – or spending $200. I came here first to see what other options were out there.
Anyway – the first alternative I saw was this cute Rainforest chair! I was sold right away from the picture, the price, and the reviews! I quickly checked out some other chairs – but, nothing else came close. The Perego we had was sturdy, basic looking, white & chrome.
This time around we are going for cheap and fun! It is definitly more light weight – but it actually seems ok – sturdy enough! The seat could use some more padding – I’m going to take the extra little pillow rest from the car seat and stick it under the seat and that should work. We do not have the tray problem that others have mentioned – it is snug and secure. One reason, though, I did not give 5 stars is that there is no place to hang the tray when the toy is in use! Really irritating. What is funny, though, is that you can hang the toy on the back of the chair – the whole thing sticks out horizontally . . . Everyone loves helping in the entertainment department with the toy. The harness was a great idea! Our previous chair did not recline so we are looking forward to this feature . . . In my opinion wheels are essential – 16 years ago Perego was about the only one with this feature – they really come in handy.
As far as clean-up goes all looks well except the piping – why did they have to use fabric? And looks – well it’s very attractive, but – even my husband frowned at the beige instead of white. So, these two little things in addition to the lack of a tray hanger got it only 4 stars.
Overall – this is my favorite new baby thing! Now – I think we’ll also try the jumperoo!
7/20/09: UPDATE: Now that we have been using this highchair for a few months I have found that the self-locking wheels are driving me crazy! No one ever goes to the trouble to actually lock them – but, several times a day I find myself fighting the chair across the kitchen floor only to inspect each wheel and then unlock which ever ones have locked themselves, AND we did get the Jumperoo which the baby enjoys – especially now that she is a little older.

Fisher Price Rainforest Bouncer: Video Set 1!
Review by Expotv.com
Fisher Price Rainforest Bouncer

The Rainforest Bouncer features a new rainforest themed fashion and toy bar with a see-though ‘waterfall’ as the centerpiece created by lights and clear spinning helixes that create the effect of a waterfall.
2 colorful character friends up top, a monkey and a toucan, keep baby visually stimulated while 2 hanging toys provide lots of activity with spinners and flutters that have lots of bright colors and textures.
Features:
* Two great modes of play include:
* Mom activated – with 6 longer, continuous playing songs
* Baby activated – with 6 shorter songs plus 3 SFX that reward baby for active play with the toys.
* Also includes mom activated calming vibrations and volume control. 3 point restraint keeps baby safely seated and the pad is sacked out to fully support baby’s head, neck and shoulders. The toy bar easily removes for getting baby in & out, Rainforest theme!
* Recommended for 6 – 12 months of age
* Weight capacity 25 lbs.
I have to say learning fisher price was hard but, this is is the closet thing to a baby-sitter for me. My baby is just about 5 months and has loved this since she came home from the hospital. In the beginning she spent large chunks of the day in this seat and now she spends at least 2 hours in the morning and an hour in the afternoon in it. It’s by far one of our best purchases. She doesn’t really like the waterfall toy, so we just took it off. This is so light and portable, that we move it all around the house. It’s in the bathroom in the mornings while I shower and get ready, and in then in the kitchen for lunch and dinner. I don’t know how I would get anything done without it. It does take D batteries, which can get pricey, but we use it daily and only change the batteries every 4-6 weeks.

Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Baby’s First Blocks!

Ten bright blocks are ready for baby to drop into the open bucket or through the shape-sorting lid. Baby will love filling the bucket with blocks, dumping them out, then starting over again. Great for eye-hand coordination and other early skills. Then baby can move on to sorting and stacking and learning about identifying and matching shapes. Includes plastic shape-sorting box with take-anywhere handle and ten colorful blocks
* Baby can sort and stack and learn to identify and match shapes
* Filling the bucket with blocks, dumping them out, and starting over is great for eye-hand coordination and other early skills
* Ten bright blocks are ready for baby to drop into the open bucket or through the shape-sorting lid
* Learning Blocks
* Interactive learning aid
My 8 month old has been playing with this for 2 months, and she LOVES it. She feels the shapes, chews on them, throws them, bangs them together, etc. However, she doesn’t actually put the shapes through their correct hole. The lid comes off way too easily! She rips the lid off, bangs it on the red box, throws it, chews it, but never uses it as it is intended. Perhaps if the lid snapped on somehow she would learn how to put the shapes into the holes. I do use this toy to say the name of the shape and the colors, and I try to show her how they fit into the holes, but she’s not interested. One good thing is you can wash them in the sink with soap and water very easily. You can’t do this with a lot of toys.
Alternate View

I bought this toy for my daughter. She seems to enjoy it, but perhaps she is just slightly too young for it. She stands up holding onto the toy, which isn’t meant for 20+lbs to be leaning on it, so its always tipping over (she’s never gotten hurt as the toy isn’t very tall and I always put it on carpet; the thing tipping is more of an annoyance to me). If I don’t want it to tip, I have to hold the thing steady while she plays. Also, sometimes the suction doesn’t seem to work right, and the balls won’t shoot up through the tube – I check to make sure nothing is blocking the little fan on the bottom – I have no idea whats causing this. Usually I just turn it off and then back on, and everything is fine. I have only had this item for a little over a week though, so I think its kind of crappy that I would be having even occassional problems with it.

LeapFrog Learn & Groove Musical Table!

The sturdy, plastic-molded, brightly colored table sits flat on the floor for babies to play at while sitting. You can attach the table’s legs to adjust it to accommodate toddlers’ play while standing. And it offers plenty of activities at different levels of learning to keep your child entertained for these early developmental years. Your child will delight in spinning the maraca to hear a fun rendition of the ABC song; playing the colored piano keys to practice motor skills and learn about colors; moving the trombone’s slide to count to 10; and sliding the cello to learn about up and down. Kids can tap on the colorful drum and learn about colors and primary shapes, too. Then, by flipping the pages of the “book” to go from the Learning Mode to the Music Mode, kids can hear more than 40 songs and melodies, including nursery rhymes and fun individual instrument sounds that will have them singing and dancing.
Plenty to Do, Lots to Learn, With all of these activities, your child will exercise his or her memory and problem-solving skills with lots of things to push, pull, turn, open, and close. And with the flip of a switch, the songs and games switch from English to Spanish, offering a great introduction to foreign-language learning. The Learn & Groove Musical Table requires some assembly and needs 3 AA batteries for operation. Batteries are not included.
It’s a learning fiesta for your little one. This interactive, bilingual activity table engages and entertains your baby for hours. There are songs, melodies, twinkling lights and real instrument sounds, plus lots of things to spin, roll, slide, open and close. The table plays over 40 songs and melodies so your baby stays entertained while exploring. When babies turn the center page, the activity table switches modes and transforms musical discoveries into learning activities where each instrument plays a learning song. The Learn and Groove Musical Table also helps your child develop the motor skills needed for learning to stand. Contoured grips make “pulling up” a piece of cake. As babies learn to stand, their little hands can stay busy with reaching, grabbing and pulling. Measures 23″ x 5.5″ x 15.5″. Requires 3 “AA” batteries (not included).

I got this toy for 9-month-old twins, but I was suprised to find that two to five-year-olds are also amused by it. I would not buy it specifically for older children, but if your baby has older siblings, this will be a hit with them as well.
It can become a hazard once your child is able to climb. It can become a stepping stool onto higher, dangerous places (like bookshelves and toy cabinets).
Other than that, it is a fantastic toy. There is a variety of music in there, so it is not as annoying for parents as some other electronic toys. It is also very sturdy. Ours has been through some serious abuse (it has even gotten soaked in the rain) and it still works well. Despite all the keys and buttons, it is fairly easy to clean.
Alternate View

Outstanding learning toy…I can see how this will be fun for my son for a long time. He is 11 mos. and is using it to improve cruising skills. Even with a short attention span, he is quick to return to the table shortly after he leaves it to play with something else. He is utterly fascinated by it. It is fun for parents and kids, as the music and verbal material is very pleasant to listen to. The added bonus is that it teaches Spanish, which helps his bilingual training. It is has a very nice “ABC” song in Spanish, with a pleasant sounding female voice for the Spanish mode. It will also sing in soprano “blueeee” or “azuuuuul” (spanish for blue), when the kid presses the blue key on the piano. This is all when it is verbal teaching mode. When u put it in musical mode, it just rocks out, playing all kinds of instrumentals. As an amateur musician, I really got a kick out how sophisticated this equipment is. For example, there are a circle, square, and triangular buttons which sound like very intricate conga drum solos when u press them in music mode, and in verbal mode, it will say “yellow…circle” and obviously the same in Spanish mode. Very nice piece of equipment that will surely have your child entertained and learning. I look forward to seeing him evolve with this and become a little Herbie Hancock, as he learns to manipulate the different sounds instead of pressing things randomly, kinda like a little DJ! Buy this one. Well worth it.

Fisher-Price Loving Family Dollhouse & Furniture Set!

It always sounds like there’s somebody home in this house with the phone ringing, cute little kittens meowing and more! Now there’s Fluffy the Cat, with a fun “furry” tail and tummy for petting. Add your child’s imagination, the Little People family of three, eight furnished rooms, and this house really becomes a home. All accessories store right inside. Also includes table and two chairs, stroller and bed. Requires 3 “AA” batteries, not included. Measures 15.5″ x 9.5″ x 16″. Sweet Sounds Home Restage has 8 rooms of play that support everyday family play in the Nursery with a lullaby and baby sounds, in the Kitchen with kitty sounds and in the Living Room with a telephone. Set includes a family of 3; mom, dad and baby figures, and “Fluffy” the kitten with fluffy tactile “fur”. Also included are a table and two chairs, stroller and bed.
I bought an earlier version of this product for a friend’s daughter a couple of years ago & it used to have more sounds/buttons to push. Now there is less of that & they’ve made the cat have fur. Well I got it for both my niece & daughter for their first birthdays and am disappointed in the change from the older version. I have a feeling the cat will soon be fur-less and simply hope they don’t ingest the fur. I miss the other sounds it used to make and the new sounds are so quiet you can barely hear them. For a simple first doll house it’s fine, but the included “bells & whistles” are lacking.

Make a house a home with Loving Family™ room accessories. All sized just right for any Fisher-Price® Loving Family™ dollhouse. Welcome the family for dinner celebrations or special occasions in this elegant dining room set. The drop leaf table opens for more seating and comes with two comfy savannah chairs. The buffet is great for storing accessories and displaying goodies. Also comes with dessert! We’ve purchased this set as an addition, we already had the deluxe dining room. My daughter is enjoying this set. It doesn’t look as fancy as the other one, but the table is bigger and allows the whole family to have dinner, and additional place mats and chairs come in handy
