They have the 80 Watt Transformer that is powerful enough to operate additional accessories and still run the train. You get a nice oval of Fastrack which is so much easier to put together and get the trains running fast. The Fastrack runs great on carpet also with the roadbed fixed on the track.

Train has a light, air whistle and puffing smoke unit. The searchlight car is lighted and is a neat car to run in a dark room. The caboose is lighted also. Usually these less expensive sets take the lights out of the caboose to save money. There is also a very nice looking engine that is something you will be proud to display. They have included a 0-8-0 with a lot of details that were missing in the 4-4-2 that used to come in the Lionel starter sets.

All in all very hard to find all these features in any train set under $200.00. We had this one up and running in 20 minutes. It also is very easy to disassemble and put away. Finally Lionel got everything right and for the right price.
